"The halberd..." Roxanne said in both shock and awe.

The moment the mighty weapon revealed itself from the torn fragment of space, the giant vertical pupil narrowed sharply.

A dangerous glint shone within its eye as the sound of raging wind reverberated from the spatial tear where the pupil floated silently.

The instant the halberd descended, an overwhelming pressure crashed down upon everyone present.

Grey and the others had witnessed its might before, so they were not completely unprepared. Even so, the suffocating aura was enough to steal their breath away.

"Sacred weapon... It has been a long time since I last saw one..." a low voice muttered from within the narrowed vertical pupil.

As it spoke, Grey noticed that the spatial crack had begun to turn red, as though blood was slowly flooding into the fabric of space itself.

At the same time, the god’s intent started to weaken. It was retreating.

After seeing the sacred weapon, it no longer wished to continue the battle.

Moreover, the amount of power it could wield in this place was heavily suppressed. If it truly fought against the halberd, defeat would be inevitable.

Then, rather abruptly, the blood-red crack in the sky began to close as the fabric of space slowly repaired itself.

"I will find you... you who dared to pose as my servant." The voice from the spatial crack said coldly.

But by the time the halberd fully descended, the enormous vertical pupil had already vanished.

In great annoyance, the halberd released a sharp, high-pitched buzzing cry that echoed across the heavens before disappearing into the clouds above.

Moments later, Grey heard the captain’s haggard and gritty voice.

"Let’s go!"

Several days later, Grey sat silently on the deck of a large and robust magic ship. His eyes were closed while his hair drifted gently in the cold sea breeze.

Naturally, this was Grey’s ship.

A few days earlier, the captain had done something that Grey would never forget for the rest of his life.

She had ripped one of the suns out of the sky of that great world.

The moment she did so, a heart-wrenching cry resounded throughout heaven and earth. The cry sounded as though some unimaginably massive beast was screaming in pain and despair.

Within the captain’s hand, Grey could see a brilliant purple light being tightly grasped.

If that alone had happened, Grey would have merely been shocked. However, what truly frightened him were the blurry projections that appeared around the captain’s body while she held the purple light.

The projections seemed ancient and distorted, as though countless worlds and beings were flickering around her existence.

Her expression rapidly turned pale, while dark veins spread crazily across her skin like writhing black snakes.

Even then, the captain only smiled faintly as they escaped from the world.

At the same time, the entire realm began to tremble violently.

Cracks appeared in the sky one after another, spreading endlessly like shattered glass.

The captain’s previously excited expression instantly transformed into one of fear and anxiety.

Without hesitation, she fled with Grey and Roxanne.

When they emerged from the crimson world of the dead expert and returned to the surface of the Dead Sea, Grey saw a cold figure dressed in white standing silently atop a bleak and desolate magic ship.

The man waited for them with a calm and indifferent expression.

The ship itself looked horrifying.

It was riddled with holes and covered in dark stains. Its sails were torn in several places, while the wood had long since darkened with age and decay.

Altogether, it resembled nothing more than an abandoned ghost ship drifting upon a cursed sea.

Yet the striking figure in white standing atop it created an intense contrast against the vessel’s ruined appearance.

The moment Grey saw the man, he froze.

Even amidst his fear and exhaustion, he could not help but stare blankly ahead.

The person before them was... Caster.

Seeing their pale expressions, Caster’s eyes flickered faintly for a brief moment before his magic ship sliced through the black waters and arrived before them instantly.

After giving Roxanne a single glance, he gestured for Grey and Violet to board before immediately departing from the area.

"I suggest you put that away before you attract existences you cannot afford to provoke," Caster said coldly as soon as they left.

Violet smiled cheekily before placing the brilliant purple light into a storage bag.

However, a mere storage bag was incapable of concealing the terrifying fluctuations of a Soul Ascendancy realm expert.

Because of this, Violet placed the object into several more storage bags one after another. Even then, it only weakened the aura slightly.

In the end, Grey had no choice but to lend her his storage ring, which possessed far greater concealing abilities than ordinary storage artifacts.

Only then did the frightening aura finally disappear from the outside world.

The moment they left the area, the pitch-black waters below began to churn violently.

A few seconds later, countless high-pitched screams erupted from beneath the sea.
