Chapter 1466 Giving Things a Name
Chapter 1466 Giving Things a Name
At the Nohara residence, Misae is watching the educational channel on TV.
Educational methods are being played on the screen.
"If so, how should we teach children who are not good at organizing their things?" the host asked the associate professor beside him.
"Regarding this, if it's a child, give the things they need to tidy up a name; that will have a good effect," the associate professor said, pointing to the toys on the table with a smile.
"Should we name the things?" the host asked, somewhat puzzled.
The associate professor pointed to the doll and said, "Yes, let's give this bear doll a suitable name, like Josephine, okay?"
The host nodded: "Josephine, the little bear, is that right?"
"Next, what if you encounter a child who leaves their toys lying around?" The associate professor then began to act out the scene: "Wow! Josephine is already crying! He's saying that no one helps me put them away neatly!" Watching his performance, the host's expression changed, a strange feeling welled up inside him, and he looked completely bewildered.
Ignoring the host's expression, the associate professor continued, "If you say that, the children will feel sorry for the toys and will put them away neatly."
"Huh? Is that really the case? But there's no other good way..." Misae thought about Shin-chan after seeing this, and decided to give it a try, since it's better than having no way at all.
Thinking of this, Misae started looking for Shin-chan: "Shin-chan, where are you?"
"Over here." Mingxu's voice came from the bedroom. Meiya followed the sound and saw the mess in the bedroom. Meiya sighed helplessly, "It's a mess here too."
Watching the toy train moving along, Misae rolled her eyes, looked to the other side of the bedroom, and sighed again. The difference between where Asahi was and where Shin-chan was was really huge.
"Sigh~" Misae sighed and looked at Shin-chan: "Shin-chan, could you come over here for a moment?"
"Ah~ But I don't want it over there, it's all messy~" Shin-chan looked at Misae and subconsciously refused.
"Ah!" Misae grabbed Shin-chan in dissatisfaction and unleashed a flurry of spinning punches on Shin-chan's head.
As he turned around, he shouted in dissatisfaction, "Who made this mess?! Please stop making a mess! Tidy it up properly!"
"Ugh~ Do we really have to tidy everything up?" Shin-chan looked at the toys scattered all over the floor and then looked at Misae uncertainly.
“That’s right!” Misae nodded without hesitation.
"Why did you let this place become like this?" Shin-chan asked Misae, looking at the messy room with dissatisfaction.
Misae rolled her eyes at Shin-chan: "You should be saying that to yourself!"
"Ah, I suddenly feel sleepy~" Shin-chan said, lying down on the ground again.
"Shin-chan!" Misae called out as she looked at Shin-chan.
"I'll do it after I finish my nap," Shin-chan said again, making up another excuse.
Mingxu shook his head as he looked at Xiaoxin. This kid always puts in the effort only for a few days after trying to correct his behavior. He can't seem to get it right. Before, he could be corrected by talking about the toy riot, but now he's becoming increasingly indifferent.
"Sigh~ Looks like I'll have to try that method." With that, Misae picked up a toy in front of Shin-chan and began in a high-pitched voice, "Shin-chan, Shin-chan, it's me, Josephine! I'm so sad because you wouldn't put things away neatly!"
Shin-chan looked at Misae with a puzzled expression as she held the toy and spoke in a high-pitched voice, somewhat speechless: "...Mom, what's wrong with you?"
"No way! Don't you think Josephine is pitiful like this?" Misae said to Shin-chan, waving the toy in her hand with dissatisfaction.
"Really?" Xiaoxin asked casually, looking at her indifferently.
Mingxu looked at Misae, then glanced at the television. It seemed the television had just been showing something, and it appeared Misae was trying to use a trick shown on TV to deal with Shin-chan. He wondered if it would work.
Misae continued trying: "And it's not just Josephine! Let me see, there's Anthony too, and Salez too! And there are other toys, every single one of them is crying, they want to go back into the toy box! Don't you want to help them quickly?" Pointing to the various toys on the ground, Misae continued to scold Shin-chan.
"You did this so suddenly, it's so strange..." Shin-chan subconsciously took a step back, looking at Misae speechlessly.
Misae, holding the toy in her hand, asked, "But isn't Josephine Shin-chan's friend?"
"I don't have any friends with names that complicated." Shin-chan looked at Misae helplessly; he certainly didn't name his friends like that.
Misae was taken aback and looked at the other children, whose expressions were also somewhat strange.
Mingxu whispered in Meiya's ear, "Mom, let's not use this name like the ones on TV. We're not used to this kind of name."
"Oh, Shin-chan, you can name him yourself then." Misae scratched her head, thought about it, and looked at Shin-chan.
Shin-chan nodded: "In that case, let's call it Masao!" he said, pointing to the turtle toy in Misae's hand.
"Hmm...it does look quite similar." Thinking back to what Zheng Nan summoned before, it seems that a turtle representing Zheng Nan could also be a good analogy.
"Uh..." Misae had obviously thought of that scene too, and her lips twitched. It really did seem somewhat fitting.
"And this is Kazama." Shin-chan pointed to a blue toy car and a pink doll: "This is Bo."
Another oddly shaped one said, "This is Nini. That's about right, let's leave it like this."
"Oh." Misae looked around and nodded subconsciously.
"Alright, I'm off then." After naming the toy, Shin-chan was about to turn and leave when Misae was stunned and hadn't reacted yet. Mingxu grabbed Shin-chan and said helplessly, "Hey, hey, hey, you're obviously not done yet, why are you running away?"
"Exactly! What were you doing naming them? Is it okay to just leave Masao like this? Shin-chan, why won't you help me tidy up?" Misae picked up the turtle and continued her voiceover, pointing to the toys Shin-chan had just named: "Look, Kazama did too, he said: 'Shin-chan, we all want to go back into the toy box!'"
"Okay..." Shin-chan reluctantly picked up the toys he had named, but then his eyes lit up and he remembered something else. He picked up the doll named Nini: "Huh? Nini, what did you say? Is everyone going back? Let's play a super realistic pretend play game~"
"Hey, hey, hey~" Mingxu looked at Xiaoxin speechlessly. You're being way too dramatic.
He increasingly suspected that Nini's hyper-realistic pretend play was inspired by Shin-chan.
"Hey! Hurry up and tidy up!" Misae yelled at Shin-chan in an annoyed tone. Only then did Shin-chan reluctantly start tidying up.
Mingxu helped out as well. After it was done, Meiya sighed. Did this trick work? Maybe it did... but maybe it didn't. Sigh... so contradictory. But, at least this is over.
The next day, when they returned from school, Misae heard them coming back and saw Akira picking up clothes from the floor. She immediately stopped him and called into the house, "Shin-chan! Please come over here for a moment!"
"What?" Shin-chan looked at Misae with some confusion and walked out.
"What else do you want me to ask? First of all, this is the mess!" Misae said, pointing to the chaotic state of the entryway. "You can't expect Asahi to tidy up for you every time. Look at this! Shoe Wolf and Shoe Jiro, is this even acceptable?"
"Huh? Little Brother Shoes Taro?" Shin-chan looked at the shoes on the ground, unaware of the question Misae was asking.
“That’s right.” Misae nodded.
"Their names are so lame," Shin-chan said, glancing sideways at Misae.
"Is it possible that the focus isn't on this?" Mingxu looked at Xiaoxin helplessly. You're really something else.
