Chapter 660: Roudha Keita’s shocking reveal

Chapter 660: Roudha Keita’s shocking reveal

“Mother,” Karen Flemming said respectfully to Isabella Flemming.

“That was a fine speech, Karen,” Isabella replied.

“Thank you, mother,” Karen replied.

Isabella nodded before saying, “Go mingle and speak with those who need speaking to. We will discuss your next moves later.”

“Of course, mother,” Karen replied before turning away; however, she stopped as James Flemming approached with Emily Daniels on his arm.

“Congratulations, mother,” James Flemming said to Karen.

“Thank you, James. Though next time I would appreciate it if you paid attention during my acceptance speech,” Karen reprimanded.

“Of course, mother; however, it was necessary as there is something I need to inform grandmother of,” James replied.

“Hmm, very well,” Karen replied before walking away to greet her guests.

“You wish to speak with me, James?” Isabella asked as she looked up at James and Emily.

“Indeed, grandmother,” James replied before turning to Emily and asking, “Would you excuse us for a moment, Emily?”

Emily removed her arm from James’ before flicking her hair over her shoulder as she said, “Fine, I will go find Miss McClain again.”

After she finished speaking, Emily turned on her stiletto heel and moved away towards Joanne while purposely putting more sway into her ass to indicate to James what he had just blown his chance with.

“You just blew your chance there, James,” Isabella remarked as she watched Emily walk away.

“Grandmother?” James asked in confusion.

“You should have handled that with more tact,” Isabella began to explain, “Either you should have introduced her to me before asking her to give us a moment, or not brought her over here to begin with. The fact that you brought her over and sent her away without trying to introduce her to me makes her now believe that you're only using her as arm candy.”

“Damn,” James cursed as he looked back at Emily, who was approaching Joanne, who was talking on the phone without even looking back in his direction.

“Too little too late, grandson,” Isabella said with an amused smile before adding, “Learn from this mistake so that you don’t make it again.”

“Yes, grandmother,” James replied.

“So what did you need to speak with me about?” Isabella asked while indicating for him to sit.

James sat down before asking, “Did you see who Triple Trouble has as their bodyguard tonight?”

“I did,” Isabella replied while looking towards Joanne before she said, “I thought Miss McClain had got out of the bodyguard business.”

“As did I,” James replied before adding, “apparently, SKK made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.”

“I doubt it was just that, if it was, she wouldn’t have refused to work for us more in the past,” Isabella replied thoughtfully before asking in amusement, “But surely you didn’t mess up your chances with the world's most beautiful woman just for that?”

“Do you have to tease me so, grandmother?” James complained.

“Calm down,” Isabella said with a smile before adding, “She'll get over it and come running back in the future. She may be the most beautiful woman in the world right now, but beauty doesn’t last, while you will always be a Flemming. Emily Daniels is a smart woman, and she knows that, so don’t worry so much and tell me why you really wanted to speak in private.”

James looked around to make sure there was no one close enough to overhear before he said in a low voice, “Miss McClain and Triple Trouble know the truth about Adam Spencer destroying all those buildings.”

“Do they indeed?” Isabella asked in surprise while looking at Joanne again, who was now talking with Emily, before she asked, “Now, how do you suppose they know that?”

“That I’m unsure of, I had just asked them when Triple Troubles' manager interrupted us,” James explained.

“Hmm,” Isabella replied thoughtfully before instructing, “See if you can’t find out how they know. If you don’t have any luck, I will speak to Miss McClain myself.”

“Understood, grandmother,” James replied just as Stacey Fleming arrived at the table and sat down before asking with a smirk.

“Where’s your date, James?”

“Speaking with a friend, I needed to speak with grandmother in private,” James replied while rolling his eyes.

“Really?” Stacey asked in surprise before adding, “It looked to me like she dumped you.”

“I told you,” Isabella said in amusement.

“HAHA, wait, I was right? Seriously?” Stacey asked gleefully while laughing.

“Where is your date, then, Stacey?” James asked before adding, “Oh, that's right, he wouldn’t even give you the time of day when he visited Prima Flemming.”

“Shut it,” Stacey retorted angrily before adding, “I would never date that bastard Adam.”

“Uh-huh, sure,” James said with a smirk.

“Ok, ok, that’s enough, you two,” Isabella said calmly before taking a sip of her drink, just as another voice interrupted them and made Isabella frown.

“Mind if I join you, Lady Flemming?” A woman of Asian descent asked after approaching the table.

“Roudha Keita,” Isabella said politely before asking, “Can I help the United Arab Emirates ambassador with something?”

“Do you mind if I sit? I believe I have some information you might find interesting,” Roudha asked with a smile that gave Isabela a bad feeling.

“By all means,” Isabella replied, indicating one of the chairs while James and Stacey quietly observed.

“Thank you,” Roudha replied before sitting down and pouring herself a glass of the wine that was on the table and taking a sip.

“So what did you wish to discuss?” Isabella asked after waiting a few moments, while Roudha just sipped her wine.

Roudha smiled before placing her glass down on the table and saying, “Lady Flemming, can you imagine my surprise when my grandfather informed me that Adam Spencer favoured you Flemmings, in our family's recent interaction with him, because you're related .”

“Excuse me?” Isabella asked with a frown while James and Stacey showed surprised looks.

“Wait!” Roudha said as she saw their reactions before asking with a gloating smile, ”You don’t know?”

“Know what, exactly?” Isabella asked in a deadly calm tone that made Roudha’s smile flicker for a few moments before she forcefully recovered it and said gloatingly.

“Lady Flemming, wait, you don’t know? How is it possible that you don’t know? I thought it was only the Williams family that didn’t know, since he still attacked them.” Roudha asked in gleeful surprise.

“Know what?” Isabella asked in an annoyed tone.

“That Adam Spencer is, in fact, your own grandson-in-law?” Roudha announced.

“WHAT!” James yelled in shock.

“WHAT!” Stacey screeched in disbelief while Issabella just stared at Roudha in speechlessness.

Roudha broke into loud, boisterous laughter that attracted the attention of those nearby, causing them to look over in curiosity.

“HAHAHAHA. Lady Isabella Flemming, speechless, HAHAHAHA, This made my trip here tonight worthwhile.”

As she finished gloating, Roudha finished her drink before standing up and leaving while still chuckling to herself.

The table was silent for a few moments as all three Flemmings sat there in shock until Karen Fleming, who had returned, sat down and asked, “What was all that about?”

Upon hearing her daughter's question, Isabella turned to Stacey and said angrily, “Explain!”

Stacey, however, just sat there and shook her head.

“Useless girl,” Isabella snapped, causing Stacey to cower before she turned to James and said, “Forget Joanne McClain for now and conduct a full investigation into Adam Spencer. I want to know everything about him from his birth to his revenge on Viktor Morose.”

“At once, grandmother,” James replied before standing up and walking away while pulling out his phone.

“Mother?” Karen asked in confusion before adding, “I thought Stacey did a background check on Adam Spencer back when they were in school.

“As did I,” Isabella replied as she glared at Stacey again, making her cower even more.

“Mother!” Karen said in an annoyed tone.

Isabella sighed and took a deep breath after hearing Karen's remark before beginning to explain what Roudha had just told them.

“I should have just done the performance,” Emily said with a sigh as she saw James heading towards the exit while talking on his phone.

“So why didn’t you?” Joanne asked before adding, “Are you actually into James Flemming?”

“Not particularly,” Emily replied.

“So it’s because he’s part of the Flemming family?” Joanne asked.

Emily sighed and nodded before explaining, “Don’t judge me too harshly, okay? I’m well aware that I only have a few years left before my looks start to fade.

I only got to where I am today because of my looks. I’m a mediocre actress and singer and even though I have an upcoming world tour, most of my fans are only interested in my beauty and seeing me in those revealing outfits.”

“So you wanted to marry into the Flemming family to secure your future?” Joanne asked.

“Is there a better family for me to marry into as an English citizen?” Emily replied.

“Not unless you find a spaceship, leave Earth and manage to hook up with some aliens,” Joanne said with a smile.

“Pardon?” Emily asked in confusion before remembering something and asking, “Are you talking about Adam Spencer again? I did hear a rumour online about him becoming a streamer and no longer being on Earth, but I thought it was just the normal rubbish some board internet troll came up with.”
