Chapter 1150: An Ambiguous Relationship
Chapter 1150: An Ambiguous Relationship
The Old Master didn’t ask more questions and signaled her to start eating.
Ariella Sawyer quickly lowered her face, burying her head in her bowl of porridge.
Afraid the Old Master would continue to ask, she never lifted her head again.
The Old Master would occasionally glance at her and Ryan Walyon.
Actually, he supported Ryan Walyon in finding a girlfriend, anyone was fine, as long as it wasn’t Summer Sutton.
No matter what, Summer Sutton was Adrian Walyon’s ex-wife, and just based on that relationship, the Old Master couldn’t allow Ryan Walyon to develop anything with her.
Two brothers liking the same woman, how bad would that sound?
As for Ariella Sawyer, the Old Master couldn’t say he liked or disliked her.
He hadn’t had anyone investigate Ariella Sawyer yet; everything would be clear after he had her past thoroughly checked, and only then could he come to a conclusion.
Every minute that Ariella Sawyer spent facing the Walyons felt like sitting on pins and needles.
Quickly finishing her breakfast, she pulled out her chair and wanted to find an excuse to leave, "I’m done, thank you for the breakfast, sir. I have work later, so I’ll be heading back."
"Let me take you!" Ryan Walyon stood up with her, heading to the garden first.
This behavior surprised Ariella Sawyer; she stared blankly at his back, unable to understand his sudden kindness today.
Ever since knowing Ryan Walyon, he had always been cold and indifferent.
Ariella Sawyer didn’t believe Ryan Walyon really wanted to take her home; she thought it was probably because he didn’t want to stay any longer in this house.
Without thinking much, she quickly followed.
By the time she came out, Ryan Walyon was already in the car.
Ariella Sawyer opened the car door and got in, reluctant to trouble him too much, she said consciously, "Just drop me off at the taxi stand, and I’ll take a cab."
Ryan Walyon ignored her and started the car in silence.
He spoke very little, and did not say a word to Ariella Sawyer during the ride.
Since he didn’t speak, Ariella Sawyer dared not say much either, and so, the two of them traveled in silence until they arrived at Ariella’s studio.
"Thank you!" Ariella Sawyer said a careful thank you and pushed open the car door to get out.
Ryan Walyon did not linger outside the studio; he drove off immediately.
Ariella Sawyer entered the studio with her head down, only to find Summer Sutton yawning and sitting inside.
"You, why are you here?" Ariella Sawyer stared at her, looking as if she’d seen a ghost.
Summer Sutton seemed not entirely awake, unleashing several yawns in succession.
Last night Watt Bennet kept her up late, and with work starting early today, she had only slept six hours, feeling incredibly drowsy.
Ignoring Ariella Sawyer’s question, her gaze drifted out the window, "Did Ryan take you back?"
"No, you must be mistaken," Ariella Sawyer denied outright.
"My eyesight’s still good," Summer Sutton didn’t believe her, yawning again, then asked, "Did you two spend the night together?"
The question was obvious: if not together overnight, how could they be leaving together so early, at seven or eight in the morning?
Ariella Sawyer had no way to justify herself.
"We’re all adults here," Summer Sutton seemed to understand, lazily stood up.
"Later I need to go to the show you’re recording, let’s go together!" Making herself at home in the studio, Summer Sutton went to brew a cup of lemon water and started on the breakfast she bought on the way.
"There’s nothing between us, don’t overthink it," Ariella Sawyer explained before heading to the bathroom to freshen up.
As if Summer Sutton would believe her!
Even if Ryan Walyon wasn’t fond of Ariella Sawyer now, they’d already spent several nights together; could there really be nothing at all?
