Chapter 434 - 107: I Actually Lived to See Tingfeng!?
In the end, by relying on the invincible combination of the Divine Gift of Resurrection and Divine Gift: Permanent Poisoning, Qin Feng killed Zhao Gang three consecutive times. The very source of Zhao Gang’s soul was utterly destroyed, leaving him with no chance to ever return.
However, before he could leave, a sound like a dense drumroll of footsteps echoed from the end of the corridor. It grew closer and closer, carrying an undeniable sense of pressure that made the ground tremble slightly.
The next second, the alloy door at the basement entrance was violently blasted open. A deafening CRASH shook the walls, causing dust to rain down. The heavy sound of metal striking metal shattered the subterranean silence.
The damp air, thick with the stench of blood, the putrid odor of Abyssal Power, and the searing aura of Divine Power, billowed out from the broken doorway and lingered in the dim corridor.
Three figures clad in black Scale Armor filed in, one after another. A faint, cold light seeped from the seams of their armor. On their chests, engraved emblems of a blood-red axe blade flickered in the emergency lights, glinting with a deadly chill.
Qin Feng focused his gaze and recognized them. They were Law Enforcers from the Real World, tasked with maintaining order, who were also members of the major Player Alliance, the Noxus Alliance.
The floor was covered in shattered tiles and congealed, dark-red bloodstains. The corpses of several Evil God Players, already mangled beyond recognition by the onslaught of Magic and Abyssal Power, lay strewn about. Remnants of red Abyssal Power swirled around the bodies like wraiths, leaving small, charred marks on the walls wherever they touched.
The lead Law Enforcer was oppressively tall. He shouldered a giant axe covered in menacing patterns, its blade crackling with blue-purple arcs of electricity. Sparks occasionally sputtered to the floor, burning small pits into the tile.
His gaze was as sharp as a falcon’s, and his brow furrowed unconsciously as he scanned the carnage on the floor.
’The energy fluctuations radiating from this room are far beyond what an ordinary player could handle. The fact that this person can stand so calmly amidst such dense energy means he must be powerful.’
As he took in the scent of blood still lingering in the air, the Noxus Law Enforcer grew even more grim.
’Dammit... A slaughter of this magnitude... This kid is either a reckless fool who doesn’t know what he’s gotten into, or he’s a ruthless operator who has nothing to fear.’
As he thought this, the Noxus Law Enforcer’s gaze fixed on Qin Feng, who stood with his sword lowered. He noticed that while his opponent wasn’t leaking any obvious energy, he exuded an effortless calm, as if he hadn’t just survived a vicious battle, but had merely dealt with a minor inconvenience.
This posture made the lead Noxus Law Enforcer’s heart sink. ’The calmer an opponent is, the more dangerous they tend to be. I have to take the initiative and put him on the defensive.’
He stepped heavily onto the shattered floor tiles, each footfall a dull thud. An invisible pressure radiated out with his every step, making the surrounding air feel as if it were solidifying.
The two Noxus Law Enforcers behind him quickly fanned out to flank Qin Feng. The long spears in their hands began to glow with an eerie blue light as their eyes locked onto his vital points.
They exchanged a look, each seeing the wariness in the other’s eyes. The sheer gore, combined with the bizarre residual energy, told them the man before them would be no easy opponent. They had to be ready to unleash their Profession’s Big Move at a moment’s notice.
"Halt!"
"Don’t move!"
The lead Law Enforcer’s voice was a low, booming rumble with a cold, metallic edge, full of undeniable authority:
"Are you responsible for all this?"
At these words, Qin Feng simply raised his eyes, his calm gaze sweeping over the three tense Law Enforcers opposite him. He displayed neither the arrogance of a player who was Cheating, nor any hint of a desire to show off.
He let his wrist droop slightly, and the tip of his Beheading Sword, which glinted with a cold light, tapped the ground. A single, crisp TAP broke the tense silence. His tone was frank and straightforward:
"These men were all Evil God Believers. More than that, they were members of the GOC Magic Squad, a Player Alliance on the official wanted list. I came here today specifically to wipe them out."
Having said that, he casually tapped a pendant hanging from his waist. It was inlaid with an authentication badge that granted core members of a major Player Alliance unrestricted passage within the Hua Country region.
After a pause, Qin Feng added,
"If you don’t believe me, feel free to contact a Lord Player from the Freljord Alliance."
"They can send you the personnel files and identification photos for these Evil God Players to verify."
As he spoke, Qin Feng’s actions remained composed and unhurried. The sequence of lowering his sword, tapping the ground, and indicating his badge was fluid and natural. He gave off an air of nonchalance, as if he had merely taken care of a routine task, showing not a single trace of guilt or unease.
But years of dealing with all kinds of top-tier players and Divine Level individuals had taught the Noxus Alliance Law Enforcers to be imperturbable. They would never be swayed by mere words.
The tall Lord Player in the lead kept his razor-sharp gaze locked on Qin Feng, not relaxing in the slightest.
Without turning his head, he shot his companion a hard glance and said in a deep voice,
"Old Dog, contact the Freljord Alliance immediately. Pull up the wanted file and identity information for the GOC Magic Squad, then verify each one!"
The Noxus Law Enforcer behind him nodded at once. He quickly pulled out a small, custom-made, cross-reality communicator. His fingertips flew across the panel, the device’s faint glow illuminating the tense line of his jaw.
Meanwhile, the tall Law Enforcer squad leader himself didn’t budge an inch. The giant axe on his shoulder continued to crackle with blue-purple arcs of electricity. His right hand gripped the handle so tightly that his knuckles went white, and the axe blade was subtly angled in Qin Feng’s direction.
